Get Britain building: round two

105 building projects have been shortlisted by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) under the government's get Britain building scheme as reported on insidehousing.co.uk.
The scheme has been designed to start up stalled housing projects with £570 worth of funding which it is suggested will generate 16,000 new homes.
The new round of funding is open to projects for 15 properties or more. The HCA has received 162 applications from house builders and has shortlisted 105 projects that show value for money and suit the local area.
Chief Executive of the HCA commented on insidehousing.co.uk that: 'These projects must now prove that they can be delivered quickly, provide value for money for the taxpayer and fit with local priorities.
'As well as building much-needed new homes, the work will create or protect jobs, and boost local economies.'
