As Roger Federer proved at Wimbledon, class and experience are a pretty formidable combination. However, you don’t get to win a record 19 Grand Slams over 14 years without adapting your game occasionally.
When Federer secured his first Wimbledon title in 2003, Dewhurst & Co were seven years into their now 21 year run as Swindon’s top ranked estate agent and lettings agency. And in the same way that the Swiss stylist has subtly adapted his game, we pride ourselves on moving with the times and tailoring our services to customers’ needs.
When we opened our first Sales and Lettings office in Abbey Meads in 1996, the internet was still the preserve of computer geeks and most sellers advertised their properties in local newspapers. But establishing our unique local focus and becoming a visible presence on the ground immediately became part of the Dewhurst blueprint.
As North Swindon expanded from Abbey Meads to include the new urban villages of St Andrew’s Ridge, Taw Hill, Redhouse, Oakhurst and Ash Brake, Dewhurst’s striking blue and orange ‘For Sale’ and ‘To Let’ boards became a permanent feature of the landscape.
Two decades later, our colourful boards are still the mark of a thriving property market - especially the ‘Sold’ and ‘Let’ ones!
